A new year brings opportunities to reflect on the mistakes and successes of the previous year. Wyoming RINOs should take note. January’s RINO of the Month, therefore, is also ceremonially awarded with a new, even more prestigious award: RINO of the Year.
Who is the lucky winner?
Governor Mark Gordon, of course! With a Ukrainian flag proudly displayed in the window of his Capitol office and spouting talking points from the depopulation cult gathered at COP20, this should come as no surprise. Refusing to sign historic pro-life legislation into law, calling the protection of women’s sports “draconian,”and vetoing legislation to protect Wyoming landowners from subsidized wind companies from stealing their land via eminent domain, there is no politician more deserving of this title.
After selling Wyoming’s oil, coal, gas, and other extractive industries down the drain with his “Decarbonizing the West” initiative, Governor Gordon received considerable pushback from ordinary Wyomingites. Instead of changing course, our Governor doubled down, jetting off to Harvard University to tell the world that Wyoming is the “first” to say that we will be “carbon negative,” despite no vote being taken on this stance back home. After more public outcry (and a whiplash acceptance-then-rejection of an invitation to publicly debate his “climate crisis” stance), our Governor did what RINOs do best- decry any criticism, and triple down. Wyoming citizens were shocked to see Governor Gordon bragging about Wyoming’s own Green New Deal on CBS’s 60 Minutes in a segment entitled “Red and Green.” This disturbing behavior and lack of respect for the people of Wyoming who power and feed America is concerning- just what will 2024 bring?
Congratulations to Governor Gordon!
