For years and from the grassroots, the Wyoming Republican Party has prioritized election integrity. With a platform plank dedicated to clean elections and countless party resolutions calling for an end to ballot harvesting, ballot drop boxes, and more, it is clear that Wyoming Republicans are serious about elections.
That’s why November’s RINO of the Month Award goes to “Republican” Senator Cale Case (SD 25, Fremont).
As Chair of the Senate Corporations, Elections & Political Subdivisions Committee, Senator Case attempted to kill the following 13 election integrity bills prioritized by the Wyoming Republican Party on behalf of future legislative leadership:
- 27LSO-0083 Pen and paper ballots.
- 27LSO-0084 Ballot drop boxes prohibition.
- 27LSO-0085 Ballot harvesting prohibition.
- 27LSO-0086 Random hand count audits of election results.
- 27LSO-0087 Elections-hand counting for recounts.
- 27LSO-0088 Poll watchers-polling stations observation.
- 27LSO-0089 Elections-independent candidates requirements.
- 27LSO-0090 Elections-acceptable identification revisions.
- 27LSO-0091 Political parties-county central committees.
- 27LSO-0092 Recall of elected municipal offices.
- 27LSO-0094 Post election audit procedures.
- 27LSO-0095 Election purity and hand count act.
- 27LSO-0097 Declaration or change in party affiliation.
If that’s not enough, Senator Case also threatened to institute a state income tax if Wyoming voters obtain needed property tax relief in the form of Proposition 1 — another Wyoming GOP priority.
It’s past time for Senator Case to admit he’s a Democrat.
