The first RINO of the Month Award for the year 2025 goes to the legislator with the lowest WyoRINO score (who’s still returning to the Capitol next year). Many RINOs with low scores were booted by the voters of their districts, but like a stubborn rash, some are still sticking around.
In the past five years, Representative Bob Nicholas (HD has failed to score higher than 10% on our scorecard. If you were to examine his voting record alone, you’d walk away thinking you’d reviewed the votes cast by a card carrying Democrat.
As the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, Representative Nicholas (HD 7, Laramie) helped to usher in the biggest budget in state history. He’s voted against common sense pro-life protections, against parental rights in education, against banning the mutilation of children, for tax and fee hikes, for Medicaid expansion, and worse.
There’s possibly no better poster child for a Wyoming RINO than Representative Nicholas.
